Empathy

Lately, two victims of the 2008 Hong Kong entertainment industry's biggest scandal returned to the screen and made their comments on this incident. The same victims but the feedback given by the public was different for two of them. It seems that Cecilia Cheung gains more sympathy and positive feedback while Gillian Chung has been doubted by her sincerity and honesty.

I was reading a report on Gillian Chung's interview in the TVB Show "Be My Guest" few days ago. When she was asked why would she be taking that photos? Her answer was because she loved him and she thought by doing so, she could hold Edison Chen back to her, and she was dragging this uncertain relationship for about five to six years.

Based on the written report solely, I would say, I empathize Gillian Chung. People always say we should be ready to sacrifice, accept and accommodate both the perfect and imperfect of our loved ones, then give and take, if we cannot, this may show we are selfish, we are not loving that person enough, we are not putting effort to work out on our relationship and etc. Especially the girls, if they reserve, the guys will come out with their own philosophy and make the girl full of guilt and thinks herself is not giving in much. Perhaps the guys never want to accept the girls' heart is as fragile as crystal, only the girls understand once it's broken, it will never back to the original, therefore, they always want to be protective even though they are sure they can definitely sacrifice more if they want to.

Gillian Chung did not do wrongly, she was just loving him too much, and the cupid was making a joke with her. To the people who are complaining about her, I think they've been very lucky which is very hard for them to imagine the pain and disappointment, but why don't they do some good deeds instead, it is okay for not supporting her, it is also better that we do not criticize her as well, right?
